After the evacuation from Earth, the surviving humans split into two main ideological groups - the Cult and Humanity.
Followers of the Cult believe that the events of recent years were caused by humanity’s deviation from faith.
They consider humanity leaving Earth as an exodus and view unknown entities in the system as forces of Evil that must be defeated for humanity to be saved.
Members of the Cult view Humanity with disdain, seeing them as incapable of understanding the deeper spiritual dimensions that the Cult emphasizes. They also consider Humanity’s beliefs to be too scientifically focused and insufficiently open to the spiritual elements that the Cult deems essential for human existence. This disagreement creates tension and ideological clashes between the Cult and Humanity.
Humanity prioritizes rational thinking over faith. Its followers believe that both the infection and the hostile entity known as Evil can be scientifically understood.
While the Cult sees the infected as evil that must be eradicated (the infected must die), Humanity is developing a vaccine/treatment that can at least partially reverse the effects of the infection.
Members of Humanity view the Cult with deep skepticism. They see the Cult as an organization that favors dogmatic religious beliefs and mysticism over scientific research and pragmatism. This perspective is further heightened by the Cult’s criminal history, which, according to Humanity's members, contradicts a rational and ethical approach to human society.
Followers later split into many smaller groups known as Factions.
*) Factions are not implemented in the beta version, their choice is purely aesthetic.
Members of different beliefs cannot share the same alliance.
