A space station can build various FACILITIES that enable it to perform its functions. The basic ones include docks, quarters, warehouses, or factories.
The efficiency of station facilities is calculated to prevent unlimited growth of performance when building multiple identical facilities. The first facility of a given type provides the highest efficiency, while each subsequent one contributes progressively less. This means that although a station can build multiple blocks with the same function, their total effect does not grow linearly. From the player’s perspective, this creates diminishing returns – adding more identical modules still increases performance, but less significantly than the first one.
