Spacecraft

Last update 11.12.2024

Your spacecraft serves as the primary tool for interacting with the game world and can be compared to a character in an RPG. It consists of a variable number of modules, with only the first (command) and the last (engine) modules being mandatory. To ensure the functionality of the ship, it must be equipped with a crew.

Movement

Propulsion Flight

Ship movement is controlled by issuing commands rather than direct control. Simply click on the target and select the desired action from the context menu. You can choose to approach the target, dock, or take other actions. The ship's crew will then execute the operation.

If you wish to travel to a specific location in space, you can initiate vector flight, which allows navigation to a chosen spot. Vector flight can be opened using the [V] key or through the bottom shortcut menu.

Maneuvering

Rotating the ship is done in the same way as vector flight, using the function tied to the [X] key.

Warp

Humans have mastered the ability to create temporary tunnels in spacetime, enabling a ship to traverse to its target destination. This bypasses the limitations of conventional space travel and allows for faster-than-light travel. A warp generator, integrated into some command modules, creates and maintains the warp tunnel. For greater power, additional warp generators can be installed as separate ship modules.

Docking

Docking is possible near stations. Simply click on the desired station and select the "Dock" option. Docking allows full interaction with the station and protects the ship from danger.

Crew

The crew is made up of astronauts and is essential for the ship's operation. Astronauts can be assigned to workstations, and for tasks such as controlling the ship or operating weapons, workstations should be manned by astronauts with the highest possible TES values. Unmanned workstations may affect the functionality of module equipment, such as weapons.

If a ROBOT is present in the command module, the ship can still maneuver during events such as RIFTS or FIRES.

Abilities

Some ship modules have abilities displayed at the bottom of the screen. Basic abilities may include using an antenna to download signals, collecting debris, or launching/docking fighters.
